We blind ourselves with so many human made lights so that we aren’t reminded of how small we are scurrying beneath a blanket of endless stars.

This is beautiful! I just had to re-read it a few times. Thank you!
Takes me back to Sinai and the Bedouins and the night sky. Didn’t sleep a wink…too much to look at. The next morning I wondered if it was all a dream – could it possibly have been real?
I appreciate the comment. The imagery of the Bedouins is fantastic. I was thinking about a time I was floating in a canoe one night under the northern lights. I completely agree, could it have been real?
