Raminder took a step toward Angus but hesitated when he saw Trudi struggle to her feet.

“You’re tougher than I thought,” he told her. “Whatever. I hope you enjoy the fate of your friends.”

“You,” said Trudi. Her face lit up in horror.

“My late partner didn’t have the stomach for the job,” he explained.
