It’s difficult to make a case for ink and paper newspapers when the newspaper prints an edition and misspells the city it represents. That was the case with my local paper yesterday. What makes it more remarkable is the fact that the misspelled name would never clear a spell checker. It’s sad to think that they’re supposed to be professionals. No wonder we experiencing the rise of internet news sources. They’re obviously no more or less professional than the papers they replace.
editor’s note: A review of the book The Price of Freedom by Simon Ivascu and Wesley Pop is coming soon.
